Recommended demo material...all on DVD, unless otherwise noted...in no particular order...
1) Terminator 2...Arnold's best flick, remastered for AC-3 digital audio...a great action packed movie...not too violent, just lots noise and special effects...
2) Fifth Element...a typical Bruce Willis flick, this mediocre movie does offer some killer surround sound material. The scene where the bad guy demo's the ZF-1 assault weapon will knock your socks off...check out the concert scene with the Diva, excellent music segment that segues into an a- typical fight scene...
3) Oh Brother, Where fore art thou?... George Clooney with a fabulous sound track, ironic story and while it isn't a movie with great special effects, certainly a movie worth watching...
4) Two Days in the Valley... nice little story with a host of twisted characters...again, not the best flick for showing off your theater's capabilities, but thoroughly enjoyable
5) Being John Malkavich... Quirky, advant garde cinema...only seems to appeal to free thinkers and those of independent natures...
6) Executive Decision...Harrison Ford sleepwalks through a movie that you somehow feel like you have seen before, but there are some terrific audio special effects...rent or borrow this one...
7) Toy Story & Toy Story 2...Steve Job's - from Apple Computer fame - played a key role in the production of these excellent Pixar Films releases...excellent movies...stellar AC-3 audio is spectacular. Top notch picture quality and intelligent enough for adults to enjoy more than once combine to make these the ultimate kids movies.
8) Jumanji...Robin Williams is, well, Robin Williams in a slightly depressing story about a board game that is all too real. Good audio and video special effects, alas, another Disney vehicle...
