Step One - The Site Survey

Dubbed the "site survey" by one of our designers, this service is basically a house call, to determine what your goals and options are. We tour your property, interview members of your household and provide you with a detailed proposal that reflects our recommendations for bringing the digital home experience directly to you. The proposal, a spiral bound document that includes cut sheets, specifications and, often, initial architectural drawings, becomes your roadmap for the project; especially useful in new home construction or in applications when Odyssey-Millennium is not actively involved in the build-out.

This approach ensures both the customer and the designer share the same vision of the customer's needs, including practical limitations posed by the home environment and the customer's budget.

This service places detailed limitations on the scope of the job, preventing the project from becoming a "work in progress" that takes on a life of it's own...a common problem with custom home improvements.

Site Surveys place no obligations on the customer, you are free to act on the information provided in any fashion you choose.

In complex whole-house projects, we may require a fee for developing this document. If so, 100-percent of the site survey cost is rebated against the cost of the project if you accept.
Step Two - Prewire & Equipment Selection

FIRST STAGE: Known throughout the home entertainment industry as the "PRE-WIRE", with MovieRoomS.com this step involves closely following the roadmap detailed in the PHASE ONE proposal. By laying a strong foundation for this phase prior to it beginning, our customers know the finished product will follow the design to a tee.

We specialize in open architecture design. For example, because of the thorough interview process in phase one, if you want to come back at a later date and install a DSS satellite dish, our experienced installers will have run the necessary RG-6 cable.

With our three step process, you will never hear excuses for why the infra-red repeater doesn't work the equipment in the basement from the theater room. No lame explanations for why the theater lighting doesn't dim at the same time the screen drops from the ceiling. The pre-wire is the foundation the finished environment is predicated on.

SECOND STAGE: For most customers this step is both the most confusing and the most stimulating. Choosing an image source and size, selecting the speaker system, the subwoofer, the electronics to drive it all...each choice can be daunting, to say the least. MovieRoomS.com's design team will guide you through the selection process based on - you guessed it - the phase one interview process.

Each customer's needs are unique to them, both in environment and lifestyle. Our recommendations result from 20-years of audio-video experience. Because we love this stuff as much as you do, our commitment to your total satisfaction is our only measure of our success.
Step Three - Coming Full Circle

Ok, your MovieRooms.com consultant walked you through the first phase. Our fastidious and supremely talented installation crew professionally and thoroughly completed the construction, build-out and finishing touches on your project. Now for STEP THREE.

Phase Three features the hand-over of your very own custom printed operations manual. This spiral bound booklet details in concise, easy-to-follow steps exactly how your equipment works. Which buttons to push for which viewing options, what to do if you accidentally hit the wrong button and can't get sound or picture, a complete wiring diagram so you can trouble-shoot or swap equipment without having to call in the professionals. This step is your pathway to the Grand Opening- the unveiling of your 21st Century digital home to your family and closest friends.

But first, you will need some software, that is, the movies you love to watch, movies that will reveal the full capabilities of your system. With your operations manual, MovieRooms.com includes three free DVD's based on the information we gathered during the Phase One interview. This complete circle, the symmetry if you will, that is the key to our success. Phase One leads elegantly into Phase Two. Phase Two carries into Phase Three and Phase Three is tied back to Phase One.
